How to Race

One of our goals is to make getting into racing feel approachable and easy. To that end, we try to keep it cheap and simple.

How much does it cost?

Race day fees are $25 per car, and $25 per driver — it’s done this way for folks that want to share a car, or maybe even one driver using multiple cars. For most, it means you’ll pay $50 to race your car for the day. Fees are payable in cash on the day of the event — no preregistration is necessary.

What kind of car do I need?

You’ll need something that’s in good mechanical condition. Some people use their daily vehicle, which is certainly doable, but bear in mind that any kind of racing is going to incur wear and tear on your vehicle that you may not want to subject your daily driver to. We DO NOT suggest larger trucks and SUVs as they limit your cornering ability significantly and present an increased rollover risk.

Whatever you settle on, you’ll need a good battery tiedown (many vehicles have them from the factory), seatbelts in good condition, no significant fluid leaks, and a helmet for yourself — this helmet needs to have a 2010 or newer Snell rating.
